He's doing his job. on portable

Okay, I'll put together a basic list of pros and cons for this; Advantages; 1. Aesthetics is good and aside.2. Cooling performance is good 3. It comes with a condensate pan and hose.4. The dehumidification function is very good. (more on that later) Disadvantages; 1. It's a bit noisy. but it's ok for portable AC units.2. The remote control app is TERRIBLE. (more on that later) 3. The top of the device is high gloss and always looks dusty.4. You may need a saw to fit the window insert to your window. Sleep mode, in my opinion, not very much. I would prefer the fan to stay low.6. The thermostat doesn't seem very accurate. Further introduction to the Pro 4. This unit can remove gallons of water from a room in an hour. I had a professional carpet cleaning. The floor was very wet. This device was able to completely dry the floor of the room it was in in a matter of hours compared to a similarly sized room that took 3 days to dry. The updated Tuya Smarthome app is not accurate when it comes to temperature readings, including the weather outside. For no reason, the connection to the device just stops working even though the AC device is still connected to my Wi-Fi network. Automation and scripts are pointless as they are super broken. All triggers, except temporary ones, do not fire properly. To top it off, setting the temperature on the AC unit via automation or scripting has an arbitrary range that doesn't match the unit's temperature range. For example, if your automation set the temperature to 62,256f (yes, I know), it actually sets the unit to 75f. Now controlling the device works as if you were working from the supplied remote as long as their server or whatever is actually running. Some final thoughts are that if they can fix their app, it will be a very good product. But I bought it for IoT integration, so it's a big hit. In the same way. For all "Home Assistance" users, you can add it via tuya integration.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • easy maintainability
