Ideal for Pi on USB cables

I bought this to power a 1TB Toshiba hard drive from a Raspberry Pi and it worked like a dream. Most devices, including the Raspberry Pi, have USB port current limits. The power supply I use to power the Pi has 2 USB ports. The Pi needs power, so I connected it directly to the power supply using a different cable. With this cable I connected 1 USB plug to the USB port on the Pi and the other directly to the power supply. Works as it should! I didn't have to buy an expensive self-powered USB hub, so I won 1 120V adapter instead of 2.
