Review on Justrite 10011 Diesel Safety Capacity by Jason Spainhour

This is the second gas bottle I've bought from Justrite, another 2-1/2 gallon. Both are excellent in that they make a great seal and I feel safe with them. I used to be able to carry petrol in the trunk of my car and the smell of petrol would not penetrate the car. I suspect this will work as well. I have two minor complaints about this one gallon volume. The mechanism for opening the can to fill or pour requires some force and makes the process awkward, although I understand you need a strong spring to get a good seal. A different leverage and a more comfortable grip might help. Also, the scales appear to be off balance, making pouring difficult. Another item not worth returning is that there is no paint on the part of the handle that you pull to open the lid. Here the pull handle goes through the hole in the larger closed handle. It's a minor manufacturing defect that I'm not concerned about other than that it might affect the overall quality control process. However, it may seem safe and durable, which is why I would recommend it.
