We had drafts on our sliding patio glass door due to displacement from an earthquake. Luckily the glass didn't break, but the panel alignment has shifted so much that it's impossible to adjust the doors far enough to seal the gap properly, so we use this flexible, compressible protective gasket for that. The protective seal is not only affordable ($2 on sale) but also removable and reusable. We do NOT use caulk in this application - just to fill and seal a small door gap. The foam strip takes less than a minute to insert and is compressible to fit the gap and expand sufficiently to form an effective seal. We can quickly remove the strip when we want to open the door and seal it in less than a minute. While it's not a perfect and permanent solution, it's cheap, quick, and much less expensive than installing a new door system. I've attached my picture - it's not necessary to leave that much overhang, but we do it to make it easier to remove and replace the foam strip.
