I have moved twice in the last few months, first to rent during the renovation of my apartment, then to a renovated apartment. I found the ideal crate for items I moved myself (i.e. rather than having movers take them to storage and then to their final destination) was one that was small enough to prevent overflow and easy to carry. Money boxes seemed ideal. However, there are many different brands and great differences in the ease with which they fold, lock and are easy to carry. In the course of two moves, I bought several batches of boxes for bankers. Each time I came across a different manufacturer. I found this brand much better than others. As the description says, they fold into a box very easily from a flat state, both the box itself and the lid. And the lid snaps firmly into place thanks to the way it folds, providing a safe, secure lid and a comfortable hold. They are very strong and can withstand a lot of weight. Of course, since they are all the same size, they fold very neatly. The lid also offers a nice surface to write the contents of the box or the number on. I like them so much that I am saving some for future use. (By the way, if you also plan on storing boxes, like I did in this case, wrap them in plastic. From what I understand, corrugated cardboard attracts bugs.)
