Quality Cheap Drill

My wife and I still had to hang a few heavy objects on the walls of our apartment. We don't have many tools and are reluctant to buy a drill rather than borrow one. For the price, we think we could justify the purchase even if we only use it occasionally. I was expecting a lower quality drill like the ones you can find at a place like Harbor Freight for less than $10. We were surprised at how solidly it was built and how well it worked. ***************** PROS ************* * **- Made from high quality materials. The parts that come in contact with your hand are made of softer plastic, similar to a ballpoint pen but of higher quality. I sincerely believe I can use the piston as a hammer given the strength of the plastic, but I definitely don't recommend it. One-hand operation - Chuck adjusts easily and prevents over-tightening of the bit - Comes with a Phillips/pan head bit that fits most common screws. There is a place on the underside of the handle to store the included attachment. Very precise variable speed switch control, without this feature I wouldn't buy this drill. Sometimes you have to start slowly when drilling a screw, otherwise the screw may move sideways, etc. The lock button allows you to set the drill to a specific speed without pressing the switch. This feature is particularly useful in situations such as polishing a scratch on a car or using a small sanding attachment. - Housing with anti-abrasion protection at the connection point of the cable with the drill. There is nothing worse than throwing away a drill due to a breakdown or repairing it yourself. Now exposed and dangerous power cord - 2-year warranty with 30-day money-back guarantee - Minimal packaging - Comes in a box with a drill and a small and concise multilingual manual, no big box or messy cardboard padding.** *** ** * ********* CONS *****************- Like most drills, this one has an open grill/vent that cools the motor. I don't feel comfortable using it outside in inclement weather as I can see the components inside. In normal use, this shouldn't even be a problem. The drill, stored in the holder on the bottom of the handle, can sting your hand if held in a certain way. If that's a problem, you can move the flat head to the left a bit and use a less sharp Phillips tip, or you can remove the bit altogether (just don't lose it) - the drill bit is a bit heavy for one. Hand operated and does not benefit from the weight of the battery pack to push out its heavy top. In short, if you're looking for an inexpensive all-purpose drill, I would invest in this drill. **I bought this item at full price and didn't need to leave a review**Please stop deleting my Revain photos.
