My microSD card was only half inserted. I then contacted BASEQI about this problem and they accused me of inserting the card upside down as if I couldn't find the difference or hadn't tried both orientations before contacting them. They demanded that I send photographic proof that I inserted the card correctly. It then took 2 days for them to reply. The answer was that other customers didn't, and I was given a banal excuse. After a few more days of no response, I carefully opened the device and loosened the adhesive holding it together. The photo shows what I found. It was obviously defective and they decided that customer service meant blaming and ignoring rather than offering a replacement up front. The color missing from the MicroSD card is because they suggested I force it. I only increased it by about 0.5mm and there was nothing left to give. It then got clamped so tightly that I had to use needle nose pliers to pry the card out. The pliers removed the paint from my microSD card. These things have a very specific use case and it may not be possible to find a replacement that does the same. Maybe that's why BASEQI thinks they can get away with such terrible support. If you can avoid buying from BASEQI I would definitely recommend you to do so. Just so you know the source of this advice, I'm an IT veteran with over 30 years of experience. Dealing with these things is part of my daily work.
