Tested and True Nickel
On one part I made a deep notch and on the other part I sanded the entire surface for maximum finish and left a few notches for fidelity and this is how it looks after seven in saturated salt water for more than a day. Looks like new, if it was nickel plated steel it would rust and the salt water would be muddy brown along with the damp paper it's resting on.
