I have one like this for quilting but didn't think of it at first when I was trying to figure out what I could do to ensure that the interface design I create on my computer is displayed at "real size". As soon as I thought about it, I realized that this is required. So I took it, to keep it close to the computer. It works! I can use it to see the displayed "ruler" on the screen and adjust the display until it matches the ruler in my hand. All along I thought that 100% on the display setting means 1 "on the screen ruler equals 1" on my portable ruler. But it's not! On the screen I set the display to 85% - then 1" on the screen equals 1 " on the ruler in mine Hand and 100% is much less. So now that I've gotten enough information, I can make better decisions. inner solutions.
