At first I was willing to scoff at the price because it made no sense why a simple aluminum frame would cost so much. Upon arrival and a closer look I realized that the included metal brackets and hinges make this setup very unconventional but worth buying. I won't go into the details of the installation because many have done it before me. Black aluminum frame, very thin. The goal of this style is to really make the artwork shine. A minimalist yet modern approach would work well in many stylish homes, but would not sit well with an overly ornate one. A matboard is included to reduce the size to 8x10, but it can still be used without the matboard to keep the original 11x14. Highly recommended if you want to hang your artwork in a minimal but modern setting. The mat has a neutral pH and the glass is polished on the edges. The instructions are a bit confusing when trying to learn how to use the clips/springs.
