Review on BUTTONED Fitted Spread Collar Non Iron Sleeve by Ryan Springer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Really good shirt. High quality material, no ironing required.

I'm a big fan of the Pinpoint men's button down shirt. As someone who has purchased several tailored shirts in the past, I am very happy to pay less than $40 for a nice, fitted shirt. When I'm not buying custom shirts, I almost always buy them from Nordstroms. Shirts last a long time and I'm definitely picky about what I wear. However, there are times when I need to iron or dry clean these shirts and I want to be lazy. I wear non-iron shirts like this one from Buttoned Down. I have a larger build when I lift weights so I can see how some of the reviews might think the shirt is too boxy or too big in the shoulders and sides. But for guys with decent shoulders, chest and back, this shirt should fit perfectly. This is definitely not a European fitted shirt for very slim men. The material of this blue shirt is neither too thin nor too thick and looks great with a suit or jeans. I tuck this shirt in because it looks a bit long when I unbutton it. (5 feet 9 inches, neck circumference 17 and arms 33 inches). The shirt has a detachable collar to keep it upright and tidy. If it doesn't meet your needs, Buttoned Down has a 100% satisfaction guarantee so you can return it. The shirt is made of 100% cotton with a slight amount of stretch and if you take it out of the wash immediately after finishing, you don't have to iron it. A tip: use the perm setting on your washing machine - it's designed to minimize wrinkles in clothes by using warm water on the first rinse to reduce wrinkles. He then finishes the wash with a cold rinse with a slower spin to reduce wrinkles. Perms are one of those things most people don't know about. I also bought the same white shirt. The cost and quality of the shirt is well above the $40 price point. Edit: For the reviews that complain about the blue stitching showing through on a white shirt, I've included photos taken with a photo light and a real camera. Given that the shirt will most likely be worn under a jacket, this isn't a big deal. Also, anyone who has worn white shirts should be aware that the material can be somewhat see-through. The quality of the t-shirt is very good, it fits perfectly.
