This is the second charger I've bought for an old Samsung laptop. The first still charged normally, but the sheathing on the copper wires where it connected to the transformer was either torn away, or the wires were torn from the transformer, exposing the copper wires. The new charger is about the same quality as the previous one, so I expect it to last about 3 years before similar issues arise. It doesn't look like it broke the bank or anything, so it's good value for something you should buy every 3 years or so. However, given the laptop's age, this charger may actually outlive the laptop.
