Review on ASICS Women's Gel-Contend 5: Unleash Your Running Potential! by Udders Sharma

February 2021 update review: I ran about 200 miles in 2020 and probably about 100 miles in 2019 when I bought the shoes. They never broke at all. They've definitely lost the support and cushioning as you would expect from an affordable pair of running shoes and after the miles I've put in them, but I still wear them for small hikes and excursions. I've since bought the ASICS Women's Jolt 2 running shoes for this year (2021) because I didn't like the color options for the Contend 5 (2 years later and they still have the same colors). I highly recommend them. Shoes! I ended up buying a pair of $150 Brooks sneakers for Asics. I don't understand why other people say they are too big. I read some other people's reviews who were also confused by other reviewers saying they run small. I was so nervous about all the smaller than expected reviews that I tried on three different types of Asics in the store and all of the 7.5, 8 and 8.5 fit well. I usually wear a size 7.5-8 but I was still nervous that they would be small based on the reviews so I went with the 8.5. Too bad I didn't buy my normal size 8 because they don't fit small at all. Fit normally. So these size 8.5 shoes fit me very well, but I would prefer the size 8 that I usually wear so that they are a bit more comfortable when walking. Haven't run in them yet so can't reconsider the comfort or arch support. I just wanted to quickly check compliance. If you wear a 7, you'll get a 7. If you wear an 8, you'll get an 8. They fit WELL! Mine was purchased from Shoebacca and comes with a free pair of Asics socks!
