Review on 🔌 POE Splitter Adapter for IPCamPower: Connect and Power 2 IP Cameras with 1 Cable by Sameer Harder

I installed one of these over the weekend to add an extra camera to one of the corners of my house. It worked well. I am using an old Cisco SG500 switch for power. Two cameras are connected to this splitter: Amcrest FCM-IP8M-T2499EW28MM and Reolink RLC-822A. Both cameras worked without problems. The only criticism is the waterproof connector. The hole on the connector is not big enough to let the RJ45 through. I had to cut it, thread the cable and crimp the new end. The waterproof connectors that come with the cameras are almost identical in design but have a hole large enough not to be cut/crimped. If someone bought one of these and didn't have the tools or desire to crimp their own ends, they would definitely be out of luck. RJ45. The white connector came with the Reolink camera and the RJ45 fits perfectly. We mark the waterproof connector with an asterisk. Other than that, it works as advertised and the price seems fair for saving time compared to installing additional cable runs.
