I was looking for comfortable breeches to wear to school but cost a pretty penny. They are good in both cases. They give you a secure feeling in the saddle, but don't affect the ride. I do dressage and horseback riding. If you are on the trail just look out for bushes/trees. Today I got caught on a small branch and was afraid it would damage the breeches. Luckily they are fine but the branch hangs a lot more than if I were wearing jeans. I really like the side pocket. I can put my phone in and forget about it, but it's very handy when I want to take a picture or, God forbid, when I have an emergency. The only other "complaint" is that they are a bit warm on hot days. It was 35 degrees today and quite hot in it, but then again, these are mid-weight jodhpurs, not yoga pants. :) I would definitely buy them again.
