Simple, good and cheap, WOW!

Well, I was looking for an inexpensive soundbar to improve the intelligibility of the sound mainly from TV shows. I'm approaching an age where dialogue is harder to hear. EASY: Set-up and installation couldn't be much simpler, attach the supplied template to the wall, insert the supplied screws in the locations indicated, attach the small attachments to the plank, then hang with the self-tapping screws. I used the HDMI ARC input to control the audio level with the TV remote. It took me a bit of fiddling with the menus on the TV to set everything up, but I'd say it took well under an hour to set up from opening the box to watching the show. If you don't have an HDMI ARC, there are several other easy ways to connect your panel. You must bring your own HDMI cable, mine is $4. GOOD: The sound quality is excellent. Granted, I have a fairly small room and I'm not looking for thunderous bass, this isn't a top-of-the-line system, but if you have reasonable expectations you'll probably be happy. I used to have a TV hooked up to a stereo with a subwoofer, but this compact little bar matches or exceeds that sound, at least for watching shows where dialogue is important. CHEAP: Well, that part speaks for itself. It doesn't feel cheap, it actually feels pretty solid; and performance I would say (as many other reviews say) that the value for money here is pretty good. WOW: I freed up some living room space, got a nice clean install and the TV got a little better, it didn't cost much and was easy to do. Bad things? Ok, the remote works, but sometimes my TV responds with unexpected results, so I had to set up the panel with the TV off. I don't think it will make much of a difference, I won't be changing many settings or anything, but it wouldn't be convenient (I have a TCL ROKU TV, in case you're wondering). I'm glad that the TV remote changes the volume, it was very important.
