Review on 🖥️ SAMSUNG 49" LC49G95TSSNXZA Odyssey FreeSync Monitor with 5120x1440p, 240Hz, Curved Ultrawide Screen, LED, HD by Jose Lewis

I bought this beast (QLED 240Hz model, not mini-LED, so 'medium') to replace two 27" ASUS 144Hz 2k monitors (VG27AQ if anyone is interested). My use cases include a gaming PC and a 2020 MacBook Pro. (Intelligent). It works great for both, but needs some tweaking in some cases. Binding and allows you to use macros for specific combinations of windows. I'm a software engineer and I basically use left quarter for email and terminal, middle 2/4 for browser or IDE, and right quarter for slack/commands. In this environment a dream comes true. If you're used to using two monitors, in my case two, occupying the same space, this works great. I would say even better due to the 1000R curve and lack of frames in the middle.2. Some other notes: - I gave one star for picture quality because HDR doesn't quite fit here. at least on Windows 11. There are times when it's blurry (e.g. after quitting an HDR game) and I have to turn the monitor off and on again to get it looking normal again, although it's more likely a Windows -HDR error is. - This does not apply to this monitor. how i had this problem with asus, lg and even with an apple thunderbolt display years ago. Sometimes the MacBook just won't recognize or display the monitor. This is probably a macOS issue (sorry Apple fans, they're not perfect). The density (ppi) on this panel is low compared to others. I didn't notice any legibility issues after reducing the sharpness to 60. Otherwise, most of the content looks spectacular. Yes, it makes "slapping" noises. All monitors fit to some degree, but this one is fairly common and audible. The sheer size of the panel and the fact that it's a capable panel (and running at 240Hz in my case) generates and dissipates a lot of heat. I'm used to it, but some people can be paranoid about defects. All in all, aside from hitting the wallet, this is a great choice if you have space on the board (or have a strong hand). If you don't need ultra-high pixel density and color accuracy, it's fine for just about any use case.
