Bought to replace the one I just bought from Revain. That's how it should be. The lid fits snugly into a hinged bracket that can be removed (as a precaution). The lid also has a top opening handle that works. The body is enough for 6 servings of a cup. The nose is high on the body. It pours almost without dripping. Intentional pouring work. When trying to drive slowly, it drips. There are no dimensional markings to indicate capacity. It is not intended for the percolator basket. The one I just bought and immediately threw away had a lid that was almost impossible to manipulate. The lid was not securely attached, tipped over easily and could be removed entirely as it was not attached to the pot.
