Review on 🔥 Cutting-Edge Tesa High Heat Harness Tape 51036 for Mercedes, BMW, Audi, VW by Matthew Burnett

I have used Home Depot 3M friction tape on my automotive projects for many years with success, but have found it to be useful in applications close to heat and or chemical source (gas/oil/refrigerant/etc) the friction belt would simply disintegrate, melt and/or fail to hold leaving residue. Here is Tesa tape 51036. This tape is almost identical to the original wire cloth tape used in the engine compartments of my Audi and Mercedes with a silky smooth texture similar to rayon. While the adhesion and compliance properties are not as strong and flexible as friction tape, the protection and heat resistance this tape offers is incredible. In some places I used a small zip tie to press down the ends of the ribbon to keep it from unraveling. Overall, this is excellent value for money, with plenty of stock, assuming it lasts for many years. Oh, and don't forget to keep that tape in a zip-top bag as it picks up lint and dirt easily.
