Review on Travel and Home Storage Bags Combo Sizes - UCEC L Vacuum Seal by Susan Vaughn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Small bags are good for storing everyday items

I recently tested a set of large, space saving vacuum bags that also came with a hand pump for manually evacuating the air. They were a great set and my wife used them to store our winter and guest bedding. They really helped reduce the space we needed to store things in our closet and kept the contents fresh and clean for next season or when guests need them. Large bags work well for very large items such as blankets and large pillows. However, they are too large for most everyday objects. These smaller bags are more reasonably sized (approximately 15" x 18") for everyday items, but still fit inside. I could fit a standard size memory foam pillow in one of those "little" pockets. However, it was cramped and medium sized pockets would have been better for items of this size. I plan to use these little bags to store individual clothing items and some non-clothing related items like some of my hobby items. These bags are fitted with self-sealing air valves that prevent air from entering the bag after the air has been evacuated and before the lid can be screwed on. I was able to use the hand pump that came with my large bags to evacuate the air, although the valve size was slightly different. You can also use a vacuum cleaner if you don't have a hand pump. The thickness and quality of the bags are in no way inferior to most bags of this type on the market. I bought these little vacuum bags at a discount in exchange for my review.
