I was happy to finally upgrade my seven year old Manfrotto aluminum tripod, but after getting the tripod I was quickly disappointed. It's light for its size. It's a thicker tube and everything was fine while i didn't install my a7Riii and didn't notice the hemispheric drag feels like slivers of metal no matter what i read in the instructions and online videos it seems just as smooth and easy to use i have Haven't seen it used but maybe it's a manufacturing defect? Unfortunately I don't have the time for the upcoming video shoot and I needed a video tripod so I chose another brand. Do you think that for the price I paid, I would get me a quality head. Maybe Manfrotto really changed after being made in China as overall the head changed so pl aesthetic and cheap feel. It's not a $100 tripod either.
