Disappointing tripod :(

I was excited to finally upgrade my seven year old Manfrotto aluminum tripod, but once I received the tripod I was quickly disappointed. It's light for its size. I didn't have my a7Riii installed and did i didn't realize the hemispherical resistor felt like splinters of metal no matter what i read in the instructions and online videos it seems just as smooth and easy to use i haven't seen it used but maybe Is it a manufacturing defect?Unfortunately I don't have the time for an upcoming videoโ€ฆ

Passable head, bad legs, no spikes

I've had it for two years now and mostly shoot birds and other wild animals. The weight is acceptable and the fluid head is adequate, although it's a bit sticky when panning at high zoom and a lot stickier when tilting. Unfortunately, the head has a non-standard 60mm dish that's almost impossible to transfer to another tripod. And I would like to pass that on. distribution problem. It attaches to the legs with a soft plastic hinge that doesn't offer any rigidity, just stops the legs fromโ€ฆ

I love my Manfrotto!

I'm a cinematographer and have had fairly modest tripods for years, usually in the $100-$150 range. For this price you can get some sturdy tripods that are good for photography but not good for filming. In particular, it is not possible to take pan/tilt shots without jerks. I used a couple of old Manfrotto tripods at school and definitely saw value in them so I bought this as my first true "video tripod". I really like him a lot! It's not cheap, but it's very easy to make a smooth-topped panโ€ฆ

Great addition to my video gear

I am a hobbyist and make videos for my local high school band. This role requires me to set up and tear down my gear very quickly as most gigs go by quickly. I found the Manfrotto MVH500AH tripod system to be a welcome addition to my kit. With the help of the handles I can quickly stretch my legs. The alignment bubble helps me get a horizontal view of the camcorder in a reasonable amount of time. I really appreciate the pan and tilt resistance. This article definitely improved my ability toโ€ฆ
