It really is a 'you get what you pay for' situation. I travel a lot for work and bought this backpack to replace my old business travel backpack which I spent a decent amount of money on but after 3 years of use it finally started falling apart. I quickly realized that as I started packing. my next trip that this purchase was a mistake. If you are looking for a laptop carrying bag, this bag is perfect for you. But if you are looking for a bag especially for business trips, you should move up a few price points. This bag is heavy. And I don't mean that in a good slang sense - you slip a bunch of stuff in and it just about bursts at the seams, even after opening the clips to compress the bag. The side bottle pockets don't stretch and it's almost impossible to fit a water bottle in them! I had to turn the bag on its side and wiggle it around to move the contents just enough to fit my water bottle in the side pocket. Needless to say it wasn't comfortable. As for the rest of the bag, the zippers don't go all the way through (because of the useless side water bottle pockets), making it quite difficult to get anything out of the pack. it's more than a few inches down. The two compartments aren't self-contained enough that once you've placed things on one side of the divider, it becomes almost impossible to place things on the other side. And even if you magically manage to put everything back together perfectly once you remove an item - good luck putting it back because all the contents have now moved and you'll never get that item back in your bag. The top lock won't snap when you've got a bag full to the brim. You need some clearance at the top of the bag, otherwise the lock is completely useless. I will be returning this bag as it did not meet my travel needs. This bag will certainly serve you well for simple tasks, but if you're a serious business traveler, keep looking.
