Update 5/24/19: After contacting Bestek about what happened I was shocked by their customer service. That's great! Not only did they promptly return my item, they also refunded the cost of the USB-c. No hassles, no delays, nothing. I am so impressed with how well they honor their warranty that I have already purchased another inverter (not this one) and have confirmed that it is Bestek. It's been a long time since I received such a service. I'm still a bit shocked. You get 10 stars thanks to my customer service representative Monica! This update is solely due to your great service. Thanks very much! Original: I am writing from the car. This thing just melted the original USB-C cable that came with my phone! It's expensive, plus my car smells like burnt rubber and I burned my hand grabbing this thing. Only my phone was charging, Pixel 3 XL. This thing should handle it. I bought it in January 2019. It should never melt, but especially after 3 months. My kids were in the car when it melted. Not good.
