Yes it works. My front USB-C port is now working! There is one caveat. It's not the most reliable adapter, and removing it can be tricky. For a brilliant idea I decided I needed to reposition the cables which required removing the adapter from the motherboard. Big mistake. With just a slight tug on the hand, the object was split in half. The case's connector came loose, exposing the pins and leaving the head stuck in my motherboard. I spent twenty minutes carefully removing it from the motherboard - the plastic seems a bit more brittle than the original as small pieces flew off when I tried the removal tool. It also made it impossible to get any sort of grip. I thought he would be stuck there forever. After changing various approaches and angles, it finally came out - still working. I carefully inserted the metal wires, cleaned the wiring and put it back together. Still works, thank goodness. I intend never to delete it. My advice: make sure everything is set up exactly how you want it before plugging it in.
