Stockings won't stay up.
These were a good fit for me and a very nice quality material. I am an apple shape. If you are pear-shaped and carry a lot of weight in your thighs they may not fit you. The big problem was that they didn't stay up! I wore them to a dance and they wouldn't stay up for dancing. If you are only going to wear them to the movies or to a restaurant they might work fine for you.
