Yes, it would be indescribable if the eyes lit up. But it's not, so just add that to the pile of disappointments in your life. On the other hand, the lighter still looks fierce and works a lot better than a few others I've tried (and returned) for my VW CC (which I assume has the same lighter as the latest VWs). I had to remove the small rubber ring as required by the instructions for many cars and that took about 5 seconds. The lighter heats up quickly and works well.
