I actually returned this item immediately. It had 2 large tears on the back and was smaller than I thought it would be. It only fit about 6 pens which wasn't enough for what I needed. I felt like it was advertised for a lot of pens, but it actually doesn't. Also, I don't like how far the handles stick out in each cabinet. Although it's just over 3 inches deep and the drawers are tilted, the handles still stick out about a third of their length (about 2 inches). It ended up looking like a chaotic mess. So on all fronts this holder didn't suit me. Maybe if you have fewer pens and items to organize, it could be suitable for your desk. Overall the build was solid despite the cracks in the rear (which is a common point of criticism in other reviews I've read, so keep that in mind). The drawer is also small, which limits storage space.
