Review on 3M Micropore Tape 1530 2 Rolls by Glen Needham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product for sensitive skin and allergies to glue, plus a great purchase! Shipped quickly and arrived without damage.

I have very sensitive skin and in fact I'm allergic to almost all glues. I can use it indefinitely over 5 minutes without blistering, bumps, redness, itching or removing any part of my skin when the tape is removed. Plus, just a 2-inch roll costs as much as an entire box at your local pharmacy! So definitely a great buy. As a nurse, I've worked with at least a dozen types of tape, all of which have proven useful in a variety of situations. This tape is breathable, flexible, does not peel off immediately in water and is ideal for delicate, thin and sensitive skin. Its ability to easily stick to the skin is great, but you need to be sure the area where the tape will be applied is clean and very dry. It is also important to hold/press/smooth the tape with warm hands and leave it on the skin for a few minutes. If you're applying it to an area where it will stick together (like the inside of your arm where it bends at the elbow), stretch your arm straight out to apply it, making sure you hold/press the tape to make it stick. to the skin. After doing this, bend your arm and note that the tape should be folded with the bend, but should remain on the skin, although it may wrinkle after a while, and if the area becomes sweaty or excessively dirty, the tape can start to sweat a bit off. The downside of tape (like almost ALL tape) is that when it's hot and subject to frequent body movement, it tends to wrinkle and cling tighter to the skin, which can become uncomfortable. For long-term use on chronic or slow-healing wounds, practice which angle and application of the tape works best and follow the instructions in the next part of this comment. Whether you change the dressing just 1 or 2 times a day, this will help with costs and help relieve the patient's skin and more pain. If you change the bandage several times a day, it's best to first apply pieces of tape to the skin where the tape goes, and then apply a bandage and tape it to the tape that's already on the skin so you don't have it remove the plaster from the skin at each dressing change. Change the protective tape daily or even after 2 days if it is still clean. If it is difficult to remove from the skin, apply some unscented lotion/cream to the edges and slowly add some more to remove. Just make sure to clean the area with soap and water and dry well before applying any more tape. If possible, allow the skin to be cleaned, dried and aired before reapplying. much luck! . ,

  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
