Works very well without adding volume to the injured area

I accidentally ordered this 3M tape but didn't have time to exchange it because I was going on vacation and didn't have time. I had to do my fault. I have eczema on the back of my heels and need to tape them off to avoid open sores when walking. This tape is papery and fairly thin, so it works well without adding much bulk under my socks (the thicker tape made my legs look "taller" and my shoes look narrower). Skin must be dry and free of moisturizer for adhesive to remain on. But under socks…

I'm Stuck Here!: Health Care

This is the same one my doctor uses and it works very well. It is NOT perforated but very easy to tear or cut. It adheres very well to skin and bandages, but if you use it on the joint area you will probably need to use it a few times to learn how to apply it for the best results. Removal is easy (after the first few uses the hair is gone so it doesn't hurt anymore) and it leaves little to no residue. ) over it for about 30 seconds to warm it up a bit, this will help increase adhesion. Even…

Gentle on skin when using bandages and bandages

As a stoma patient I change the plate around the stoma every 5-6 days and I developed severe skin irritation there Plate was taped fastened. .I found the waffle maker needed extra support for me to last up to a week safely. Adding the surrounding edge of tape helped, but removing it was damaging to the skin. I even had trouble using the right powders and skin products. Switching to 3M Micropore Tape solved my irritation problems. The tape is very gentle on the skin. Now the tradeoff is that it…

Helps keep colostomy dry while showering

I was looking for a way to keep my colostomy dry while showering. After some testing I found that the combination of Nexcare Sensitive Skin Tape (1 inch) and 3M Micropore Paper Tape (2 inches wide) is the best solution. The hospital staff showed me how to use 3M Micropore paper tape (2" wide) to tape a plastic bag to a colostomy device/bag. However, 3M tape absorbs water, so it was difficult to prevent the instrument flange from getting wet. When I tried Nexcare Sensitive Skin Tape for sealing…

Ideal for transdermal patches!

I only had to wear a transdermal patch of about 1 inch for severe muscle spasms and spasticity and they don't want to stay on my skin where they should be placed. The smaller 1 inch 3M Micropore Tape was too cumbersome. I was just trying to see my tummy to correctly place each 1 inch piece to cover the patch and ended up using three strips most of the time. Now I can unroll enough of that 2 inch tape, placing the patch in the middle of the piece before cutting it to make sure I have enough. I…

Pathetic glue - doesn't stick - doesn't return

Bought this earlier and ordered again thinking the last roll must have been out of date and dry. nope The new ones are as bad as my last roll. It will somehow stick to your skin, but it won't stick to itself if you try to overlap it to get more surface area and keep it on your skin. That way it doesn't stick to the lidocaine patch and doesn't stick to itself. So I figured I'd have to go to CVS and pay a fortune for their overpriced tape that sticks on the lidocaine patch and on itself. It's…

I have very sensitive skin and in fact I'm allergic to almost all glues. I can use it indefinitely over 5 minutes without blistering, bumps, redness, itching or removing any part of my skin when the tape is removed. Plus, just a 2-inch roll costs as much as an entire box at your local pharmacy! So definitely a great buy. As a nurse, I've worked with at least a dozen types of tape, all of which have proven useful in a variety of situations. This tape is breathable, flexible, does not peel off…
