double din dimensions: 180 mm x 100.3 mm. The hole should be at least this size or slightly larger. The one I received has a 173.6mm x 99.4mm hole. I need to modify it to fit my double din stereo. It seems solid enough, but the flange that attaches it to the dash could have been a bit stronger. If you plan to mount yours on the dash like I did, it's a good idea to install some small fans and maybe paint it a lighter color. Maybe holes will be cut for fans in the next version. If there is space I plan to install 3 x 40mm fans just above the head unit to draw hot air out of the box. Alternatively, I mount them further back or possibly on the sides. I think the box will add some fan noise, but 40mm is small enough to be fairly quiet.
