I bought this DVR to replace a much more expensive Night Owl DVR which failed from day one. Annke has an amazing amount of features. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of features in the box and the ease of use. The user interface is much better than my original device and suddenly all the errors are gone from my system - just like that. I had a lot of disconnecting issues with my previous NO-Box, but after a few months this one became reliable. I had to restart my NO every few weeks and the remote connection either succeeded or failed. The ANNKE just plugs in and I love the camera's zoom function, which my NO didn't have. Does not come with a hard drive, just replacing one from your old system. Another note: if you read the reviews, people are complaining about connection issues. I have a business internet line at home and if you only have a basic internet connection I would recommend upgrading your line or going for a smaller DVR - this requires bandwidth. work correctly. Overall excellent value for money!
