Overall this portable sound machine works well and gets the job done when traveling. We used it in the car, on walks and in kindergarten. It is very lightweight and easy to put in a diaper bag or backpack to use when needed. The design is quite simple, but there are several different sounds to choose from. The volume control is great and gets loud enough to block out noise when it's around a baby. There's also a timer setting so you can turn it on all the time or set the timer in different increments. The sound machine is also durable. Dropped once on concrete and it still works great. The only downside is that it runs on batteries. I wish there was a way to charge it. However, if you're looking for something that doesn't keep you thinking about charging all the time, this would be a good option.
