I'm glad I finally found the fat separator, it's very easy to use and you can regulate the amount of sauce just by pulling the lever back. It can also be washed in the dishwasher and shines clean. On the side no, if you have small pieces of garlic or other spices/vegetables that are small enough to fit through a strainer, this will stop the flow of liquid.
