I use this with a Canon Vixia HF R800 camcorder and it works great. After using it, I wondered how I ever managed without it. It ensures smooth movements by holding the camera on the shoulder with two hands. Avoiding camera shake has always been difficult with the R800's on/off switch on the right, but with this device you can simply hold the stick with your left hand and lift your right hand to stop recording. It's well made with many adjustments. The tripod screw on the R800 is off-center, but you can move the platform holding the camera off-center (by loosening the three screws holding it in place). All in all a great product at a great price.
