Review on πŸ”₯ Ultralight Folding Titanium Stove - Esbit 11.5g (0.4 Ounce) for Efficient Use with Solid Fuel Tablets by David Hayden

Not perfect, but damn close

The lightest, simplest and most reliable cooking system on the market. What could be easier than "Open package, light cube?" So you need to slide the legs of the oven first. It's still about as foolproof as you can find. If you don't factor in the small back that comes with the stove, the weight is around 7 grams. That's half the weight of the Esbit fuel cube itself! The pros here are light weight and ease of use. Disadvantages include the fact that the stove needs a windbreak for maximum efficiency, the cubes will leave a small tar-like residue on the bottom of your cooking utensils, and (once opened) the cubes have a fishy smell. This is not suitable for family camping if you need to cook for several people. It's also not the best choice for complex dishes that require a lot of cooking or reheating. On the other hand, for a bug bag, ultra-light short trips or even as a backup source for cooking, the Esbit stove is perfect. The best part is you don't have to worry about the fuel going bad. You can leave it in your emergency supply for years, knowing it will turn on instantly when needed.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Nothing here
