I had a bad headlight on my Q5 (can't remember the details) followed by a lightbulb icon with a solid line. It didn't happen immediately, but before the lightbulb burned out. This can be a bit confusing as the instructions don't mention it. A little web research claims it could be multiple things, including ballast. Before you go any further or go to the dealer, do yourself a favor and replace the bulbs yourself first. Go to YouTube and see what you need to do to get access to the headlights. It's not hard, you pull on the fairing and loosen 3 screws to push the headlight assembly out. Disconnect the old light bulb, replace it with a new one and reverse the steps. New lamps shine brighter than relatives. Maybe the light is a little "whiter" than the old ones. There are no error codes. The high beam works perfectly. The blocks look just like the old ones. I'd bet Audi would charge over $200 for it. You can do that!
