This item is amazing. I love the fact that it takes guesswork to figure out if your battery is wet, aluminum, or gel. He just goes to work and does his job. It comes with a set of alligator clips and a set of wire connectors that easily attach to the battery. I connected mine to the battery directly on the bike and left. At first I didn't think it was working as it stayed in step 2 of charging for a very long time, but the next morning it said the battery was fully charged. The battery is new but was installed this summer. With the onset of cold and the viscosity of the oil, I noticed that the bike was becoming increasingly difficult to start. I know cold weather drains battery life, but I had no idea how much charge was left. The ends of the alligator clips and eyelets are a simple socket. There are end caps for those that completely enclose the connector in rubber, preventing dirt and water from getting into the metal terminals inside. I routed the end of the cable through the battery compartment drain hole. Switch on and drive or simply switch off and drive! I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a simple charger that takes the guesswork out of it. For the price I think it's worth it and you don't buy a new battery in the spring it's definitely worth it.
