Review on JL Safety Visortag® Vertical Mount by Darin Schaffer

When I saw this product and all the positive reviews about it I thought it was no problem, a sure win! However, there is one problem that I consider serious when using it. It is normal not to use it when the visor is flipped up. See image 1. It is normal to omit the disabled sign if you must use it. See pic 2. You have an issue that requires your passenger to lower the visor. When the visor is down (shading the person's eyes from the sun), the plaque obscures clear vision through the windshield, making it illegal. See pic 3. If you've never had a passenger use a sun visor, this will be great for you. But in my case, I take my parents and mother-in-law to doctor's appointments and they often use the passenger visor. When attached to the visor it obstructs my vision and I cannot keep it on the visor while riding. For this reason I will probably be returning this item.
