I also have stones in my coffee

Just wanted to post a quick review to help a potential buyer. I usually buy Espresso Vivace, Doma or Klatch but I ran out and ordered this to try. I read negative reviews about Revain customers finding rocks in Lavazza beans so I was a bit concerned. But I figured it would probably be pretty rare. Unfortunately, I also found stones in my coffee. Halfway through the bag, I heard a noise and realized it was a rock. I have had a Mazzer Mini grinder for over ten years and it has never made a noise like this before. I immediately turned it off and looked for the stone in the ground coffee. I found a stone about 7mm x 2mm (after going through the crusher). See photo. There were probably more splinters in the coffee I threw away before I thought to look for it. So I got interested in the rest of the beans. I put some of the beans in a pot of water so the stones would sink to the bottom. I found a stone about 7mm x 7mm (about 1/4 inch). If I found two stones, I'm sure there were more. I was just looking at some of the grains. designed for crushing stones. I plan to replace them now. Coffee grinder grates range in price from $50 to $60. Now I'm wondering if I can install it myself. It was the most expensive coffee I've ever bought. I do not understand. I've been buying various Italian roasts for 15 years and have never had stones. Lavazza should know about this. You seem to have read the reviews. I don't understand why their quality department allows this and why they don't fire the suppliers who supply them with these grains. Stoned coffee beans are apparently cheaper, but losing customers comes at a price. I will never buy Lavazza again. Excuse me. I wanted to be brief. I still can not believe it. Rock. In my coffee How does coffee taste? Who cares? Update July 2018: I've posted photos of the rocks and the bag with the mfg codes. I sent photos and MFG codes to Lavazza as they asked for it when leaving their comment. Update August 2018: I wasn't allowed to reply to a comment by Lavazza, so I wanted to add it here. MFD from 01/25/2018. BB 12/30/2019. B.No. - CA25AD. Lavazza never replied to my email they asked for. After reading their comment that we should buy beans directly from Lavazza, I can't tell if they are saying they sell lower quality beans to resellers or that resellers may have counterfeit Lavazza beans.
