I bought this bag to separate my work computer from my co-workers' identical laptops. Some have turned their laptops into a bunch of stickers, but I didn't like the idea of the stickers curling up and leaving a sticky residue in my backpack, and it would be annoying to take them off when it came time for an update. Having a case allows me to keep my signature look during upgrades (as long as they release the same model for me). I have the shiny silver and it's even prettier in person! The surface is holographic and shimmers in the sun. I got a lot of compliments on this one! The corners are a bit frayed from rubbing in my backpack, but for a $20 suitcase it holds up very well. The case was easy to put on. I latched the laptop top and bottom while it was closed, then opened it up to make sure all the tabs were secure. I had no trouble opening it, even when my nails accidentally got caught on the case instead of the laptop itself while trying to open it. This is definitely more of a decorative case than a protective one. While I assume my laptop sleeve will protect it from scuffs from zippers and metal objects in my backpack (my previous laptop had paint smudges from the laptop!), this sleeve probably won't protect it in the event of damage. a drop. Basically I am very satisfied!
