This thing is SO light - and the saucer shaped part literally balances on a tiny bit of metal protruding from the legs. There is nothing that connects TWO parts. I understand it needs to rotate, but NO animal can use it! We have 2 hamsters, one is very small and although she tried to walk on the saucer as she turned with it she falls off the stand immediately when the weight hits the top. I'm sure there are better designed cymbals that won't fall apart with use. I will return this one. I do NOT recommend spending your $ on it.
