Perfect Minimalist Wallet

For those who don't know, this wallet is a clone of the TROVE Wallet, a premium British-made minimalist wallet that (unfortunately) runs small and due to the conversion rates expensive to buy in the US. (Roughly $40-50) For those of us looking for a poor man's find (and want it to arrive in two days with Prime), there's VBAX! I had my doubts about the quality of construction of this wallet, but I'm happy to report that my fears were unfounded. The materials appear to be solid and there are no obvious flaws in the wallet's construction. This wallet is almost identical in design to TROVE and it's awesome! The tongue is incredibly comfortable, the three sections make it easy to organize your cards and cash, it's beautiful to look at and feels good in your hand. It's never hard to get what you need from this wallet! I would have thought that laying out and unrolling bills clumsily would make handling cash a pain, but unless you're the type to carry huge bills it's never a problem. Your rarely used cards can be tucked into one of the open pockets, and even there they are easy to reach. The pull tab is obviously where you want to put your daily drivers (for me, that's my credit and debit card), and it's a wonderful way to get to your stuff quickly. I've found that using this wallet is often just as quick, if not faster, than using a traditional bifold. While this is a downside, I will not be deducting a star from my rating due to the limited capacity of this design. This is a compromise that should be pretty obvious given the purpose of this wallet: to be as light and small as possible! My only concern is that the elastic can easily bend your cards, but that's hardly a big deal. If you don't carry a lot of cards and don't use cash, I couldn't recommend this wallet more.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
