To be honest I didn't expect much from it. I was expecting this to reduce the number of times I have to pull out the ladder, but no more. Just slow down the battery drain. Surprisingly, this actually increases battery life. A few things to keep in mind: 1. After your cameras have been outdoors for a while, the electrical contacts will oxidize and get dirty. First clean them with some alcohol. They didn't charge until I did this.2. That goes without saying, but for that you need sunlight. The more light, the better it will be charged. If you install it in the shade or under the shelter of trees, the mileage may vary. This is not the fault of the solar charger.3. It is not intended and will not provide consistent performance. If you have cameras that record constantly, trigger frequently, or if you monitor all the time, you're still going to use power. This is for the typical homeowner whose courier occasionally drops packages and turns on cameras, not those who need 24/7 security surveillance. As long as you can meet the above requirements and have reasonable expectations, this will work for you. . I will be buying more to charge the rest of my cameras.
