The versatility of AC, DC or battery operation makes it an easy purchase for vacationers. The one I received had no problem keeping the batteries in their compartment and worked as advertised. Deflating the airbed was cool and made packing a lot easier than the "lay it on and squeeze until flat" method commonly used to make the bed small enough to pack into a suitable stuff sack fit. My only criticism is that it didn't deflate the vacuum "space bag", but it wasn't designed to do that. Although it is possible with a soft rubber nozzle!
