Great picture quality and good stand, but the touchscreen doesn't work.

The Hongo Ultra Slim Portable Monitor is a very good second or travel monitor with some really great features. Unfortunately, the touchscreen doesn't work for me. It works great in every other way; It just doesn't respond to touch. That being said, there are many features that make this monitor great. Here are some things I learned from owning it and things to consider before buying. I'm really torn in this review because of the touchscreen. Everything else works great and I really enjoy using it. I rated it low because such a big feature doesn't work, but I also think it's fair for me to highlight the good stuff as well. Particularities. This monitor is really thin and you're wondering how they do it. The speakers are bad, but these portable monitors never get enough of them, and at least they have speakers. Image quality is excellent (see attached video), as good as my laptop. The included stand sets this monitor apart from the rest of the competition, which I love. Good quality stand, holds the monitor effectively and is tiltable. This stand is better than the ones you would buy separately. II. Quality. Apart from the touchscreen, the quality is average, which is disappointing for the price. I have a few of those portable monitors and this one costs more but lacks the quality of the materials. I think they justify the price with the stand and the touchscreen. However, for $80-$100 less you can get a very nice case that doubles as a stand and a higher quality monitor, you just lose the touchscreen capability. III. Large Bottom Border - I don't know why they chose to put a large silver area under the screen and maybe it has a purpose I don't understand. But none of my others have. I personally don't like it and prefer a much smaller rim than others. This one is probably three times the size of the one below. All in all, if it weren't for the non-working touchscreen, I would recommend it as a good option for people who really like touchscreens. Because most of these portable monitors don't even have a touchscreen. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product at all. You'd think that something as fundamental to this monitor as a touchscreen would be tested before it leaves the warehouse. If they don't even check it, what else is elusive? Wanna bet your hard earned money I'm an anomaly and not the standard? I would not! If you would benefit from a detailed visual inspection of this product, I recommend watching my attached full screen video. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it's a video! You may think that this review is just my honest opinion trying to give you the helpful information that I wish I had before purchasing this product. I hope this was helpful in your solution.
