This eyepiece is great. Tried it out last night, and it provides nice crisp wide-angle views. It is big but not outrageously so. Just slight larger in diameter than my E-lux 40mm that came in a Celestron accessory kit, but about an inch or so longer. For the price, a great value. The main reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it did not come with caps to protect the lenses. Seems like a cheap no-brainer to me, but what do I know. Also, before you buy this eyepiece, you should be aware of the exit pupil it provides. For example, with my 102mm refractor, it gives an exit pupil of 9.5mm. Since that is larger than the average max pupil size, there will be some light that the eye simply cannot make use of, as I understand it. I'm relatively new to this hobby, so I can only speak from my limited experience, but in practical terms with a fast f5.9 scope this didn't have too much of an adverse effect on the views for me. I thought maybe it was a little dimmer than I was used to, but that could have been partly attributed to the lower magnification, I think. Either way, I am overall happy with this purchase. Just wish they'd sent caps to cover the lenses.
