Only insert I use due to size and thickness. I used to have a large skillet and this fits JUST in the skillet. We have a very large corner bowl from Nature's Remedy for our rescue cat and although the liner does not fit completely inside the bowl, when properly placed the liner fits completely around the perimeter edges of the bowl. I put 1/4 inch baking soda in the box (to get rid of odors if the liner is punctured), put the liner in, then placed 4 to 6 inches of clumping litter in the bowl. I have the box bailed out daily and add more filler to maintain depth and this keeps the box and liner clean requiring a full replacement only every 3 months. The liners do a great job of keeping the litter box clean at all times. , that's when I do a full replacement.
