Let me start by saying that I almost NEVER write product reviews but I feel like I would love to write a review on these pet grooming gloves. We have two hairy older sisters German shepherds. Lots of dog hair - it seems the hair will fly off just by looking at it. Regular grooming with the Furminator will remove a lot of hair, but dogs can only tolerate use on the back and flank due to arthritis-sensitive joints and general age-related pain. So I thought I'd give this product a try - and what a difference! Although gloves don't remove as much hair as the Furminator, there are other distinct advantages to using them. First, they can be used on the entire body with ease, including the legs, soft tummy, tail, and even the head. In fact, all areas can be massaged, which dogs clearly love. Dogs LOVE it. As soon as they see the gloves, they start their merry dance in happy face mode, checking each other's hips to be first in line. Indeed, since they've been wearing gloves for some time, the quality of their fur seems to be better - perhaps the benefit of massaging the skin and stimulating hair growth (more hair? - better hair). Their fur is softer and shinier. Bottom line: These gloves are a great fit for my aging, hairy dogs and will obviously be my go-to girl choice. What else can you say here? Maybe try them.
