Press down on the reservoir by pulling on the adapter cap so you don't damage the brake fluid reservoir... and yes I'm glad I didn't mix up braking and retarding... It may work just fine too. It could be a lot better. Poor performance in adapter cover design and installation has deducted three stars from my rating.
